We take pride in our comprehensive approach to treating our patients. From routine re-care to complete smile makeovers, our mission is the same with relentless dedication.

Comprehensive Evaluation
An oral examination is a thorough visual inspection of the mouth, head, and neck, designed to identify any abnormalities. At NJ Smile Center, we also use advanced radiographs and digital scans to provide a comprehensive evaluation. These tools allow our team to detect cavities, assess existing dental restorations, monitor gum and bone health, and identify other potential issues within the mouth, head, and neck. Whether you're a first-time visitor or a long-standing customer, our team here at NJ Smile Center ensures a complete and precise assessment to maintain your oral health and a confident smile.

Fillings
Dental fillings are used to restore teeth damaged by decay or fractures. While modern fillings can last for many years, they will eventually need replacement—especially for patients with habits like teeth grinding or clenching.
Fillings that chip or fall out can create gaps between the tooth and the restoration, allowing bacteria to enter. If the seal between your tooth and filling breaks, bacteria can reach the tooth underneath, where toothbrushes can’t reach, leading to new decay at the edge or beneath the filling.
If left untreated, this decay can reach the dental pulp, potentially requiring root canal therapy or even tooth extraction.
Luckily, you can avoid this issue by visiting our team regularly. We can easily spot any early signs of problems with your existing fillings and determine whether they are starting to weaken.
Scaling & Root Planing
Scaling and root planing is a non-surgical procedure used to treat gum disease. During the scaling process, specialized dental instruments are used to remove dental plaque and calculus from beneath the gums. Root planing is the procedure used to smooth the tooth roots after the scaling process. Root planing helps the gums heal and reattach themselves to a cleaner and smoother root surface.

Root Canal
A root canal is a simple treatment that can save your natural teeth and prevent the need for dental implants or bridges.
At the center of your tooth is pulp. The pulp is a collection of blood vessels that helps to build the surrounding tooth. Infection of the pulp can be caused by trauma to the tooth, deep decay, cracks, and chips, or repeated dental procedures. Symptoms of the infection can be identified as visible injury or swelling of the tooth, sensitivity to temperature or pain in the tooth and gums.

Partials and Dentures
Although teeth are designed to last a lifetime, tooth loss can occur due to accidents, poor oral hygiene, gum disease, or tooth decay. Missing teeth can create challenges beyond appearance, including difficulty eating, speaking, and maintaining facial structure. When all natural teeth are lost, facial muscles may sag, making patients appear older. Dentures and partials restore both function and aesthetics, giving patients the confidence of a full, healthy smile once again. At NJ Smile Center, we craft high-quality dentures and partials for patients throughout New Jersey, New York, and surrounding communities, ensuring comfort, durability, and a natural look.
There are several different types of dentures:
-
Full or Partial
-
Removable or Fixed
-
Traditional or Implant-Supported
Partials
Removable Partial Dentures are used to replace edentulous ares of your mouth. With advances in dental technology, metal-free partials can now be handcrafted. These more advanced partials can virtually become flawless replacement teeth and restore your smile with a perfectly natural look.
Dental Implant
NJ Smile Center offers expert dental implant services in Colts Neck, NJ. Call 732-677-2777 to learn more and schedule your appointment with a trusted Dentist Colts Neck NJ.
Dental implants have an impressive success rate of around 95% and are widely considered the best solution for replacing missing teeth. They not only restore a natural, beautiful smile, but also provide significant oral health benefits. By replacing the tooth roots, implants create a strong, stable foundation that lets you enjoy foods like steak and corn on the cob with ease. Implants also help prevent—and in some cases reverse—jawbone loss that naturally occurs when teeth are missing. With dental implants from NJ Smile Center, you can improve your appearance, protect the stability of your remaining teeth, and enjoy a more confident, functional smile.

Oral Surgery
At NJ Smile Center, our trained and certified oral surgeons perform a comprehensive examination of your dental health to determine whether oral surgery is necessary and to identify the best course of treatment. Before any procedure, your surgeon will review the types of anesthetics and sedation options that are most appropriate for your individual needs. Be sure to inform us of any medication allergies so accommodations can be made safely. Your oral surgeon will also discuss potential risks, side effects, and provide clear post-surgery care instructions to ensure a smooth recovery.
A variety of conditions may warrant oral surgery, such as:
-
Impacted teeth
-
Jaw related problems
-
Gum disease
